Anavar is a legend in the bodybuilding world for good reason. It has a myriad of positive benefits with very few drawbacks. This coupled with a strict training regimen and clean eating habits are a formula for success.
Not only does it cause preservation of lean muscle while preserving metabolism, its use at low doses promotes athletic endurance. When it burst onto the scene in 1964, it was primarily used medically to treat wasting syndrome while also helping patients to gain weight. Soon, the bodybuilding world became hip to this multi-use steroid and the rest is history. Anavar is now a staple in almost every bodybuilder’s training regimen for a number of good reasons.
It All Starts With The Dose
The dose for women is usually between 5 to 10 mg a day. In fact, some women have used up to 20 mg without any untoward side effects. However, doses exceeding that often cause virilisation which is displayed by a deepening of the voice, increased facial and body hair, and clitoral enlargement. It is assured to happen in doses over 20 mg a day. For men, effective doses are between 50 to 80 mg a day with some men opting to go as high as 100 mg a day. Doses exceeding 100 mg a day show no added benefit. Anavar is used primarily during the cutting cycle only which lasts between 4 to 6 weeks.
Anavar does not cause aromatization as compared to other steroids. Aromatization causes estrogen to be released in the body which usually leads to bloating, water retention, and gynecomastia. Instead, the lean and sculpted muscles are primed to emerge gloriously through. In addition, Anavar does not cause testosterone to be suppressed as compared to other steroids. Rather, it works synergistically with testosterone to bring forth a beautifully sculpted and lean figure primed for competition. Another added benefit is that it does not cause liver damage as some other steroids might. However, it is advised to avoid over indulging in alcohol while taking Anavar.
It’s All in the Stack
Anavar is perfect for stacking with other steroids. In men, this is usually the only way to go as Anavar is of not much use when used alone. For men, it is perfectly effective when combined with other steroids such as Winstrol and Primobolan. Women may also stack Anavar effectively with both Winstrol and Primobolan in addition to Cytomel and Clenbuterol. Stacking enables the amplification of results of the combined steroids in the regimen. It is best to get the advice of a bodybuilder or an expert in the field in order to find the perfect steroid stack. Anavar is only to be used during the cutting cycle as it does not work as well as a bulking aid. This coupled with its high cost of $2 to $5 a tablet further underline its benefit only during a cutting cycle.
And Now for the Downside
Anavar can cause side effects when used in excess. In fact, it can cause an increase in liver enzymes and serum bilirubin as a result of abuse and overuse. It should not be used in pregnant or nursing women nor should men with a history of prostate issues use Anavar. Those with heart issues such heart attack, heart failure, rhythm irregularities, or angina should also avoid using Anavar. Competitors who have hypertension and high cholesterol should avoid Anavar. It may cause hair loss in some though this is rare. In addition, it may cause acne on the back and shoulders. This may be mitigated by taking frequent showers and using over the counter acne medications containing benzoyl peroxide.
Though there are certain and definite risks in taking Anavar, side effects are usually rare and are dose related. It is wise to get a complete physical with lab work before beginning any training regimen. In addition, it is prudent to consult with trainers and experts in bodybuilding in order to avoid certain pitfalls and training mistakes. This can also significantly increase the chances for being successful in a competition.
A disciplined training regimen, clean eating with plenty of lean proteins, vegetables, and low glycemic index fruits, and a regimen with Anavar has proven over and over to be an unbeatable combination in preparing for competition.
